My whole life I have been deprived of having a pet. At a young age, my mother instituted a “No-Pet Policy” and the majority of her reasoning behind this policy that deprived me of a pivotal part of my childhood is because of the mess these precious animals bring to a household. As we were preparing for guests this weekend, I picked up the wine decanter to decant a nice bottle of Freemark Abbey Cabernet when I realized the decanter had spots and discoloration in the bottom. I set the decanter aside because it was too unsightly. After cleaning the decanter with bleach, I still pondered about how to dry the decanter without getting spots and residue.
